Job Description

Coca – Cola Beverages Africa has an exciting vacancy of IT Technician at one of our Mozambique Bottlers – Matola-Gare Plant, leading producer of various flavors in Mozambique for the last 27 years. This position reports directly to the IT Manager. The incumbent will be responsible to provide remote and on site technical assistance, and business process support for IT systems to users, resolving hardware and software issues.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Installing and configuring end user computer hardware and peripheral operating systems and applications;

Ensuring computer systems and networks for the relevant in-country are added to CCBA appointed monitoring tool;

Performing basic troubleshooting of network and infrastructure system problems, diagnosing, and solving hardware or software faults;

Replacing Customer Replaceable Parts as required;

Supporting the roll-out of new applications; the roll-out of new applications; Providing guidance and assistance to resolve technical issues for end-users on the correct use;

Assisting new users to set up their accounts, profiles, and authentication issues; Supporting and participating in the Major Incident Process and RCA’s; Participating in technical pilots to test and evaluate new technology;

Ensuring Computer and Server Rooms are neat and in order according to the CCBA standards; Facilitating the testing on generators and ensure UPS’ and other facilities and/or infrastructure are in working condition;

Installing, maintaining, and configuring other computer peripherals and hardware when necessary; Performing daily reviewing and reacting to logged Incidents and queries; Responding to and supporting business users via Tickets that the Service Desk and Operations Centre cannot resolve;

Recording Ticket updates and Resolution details within ITSM toolset logs, and providing user feedback where required; Escalating Tickets and issues to the relevant resolver, Service Owner and Business Support Lead where necessary;

Providing input into Knowledge Management for the creation of accurate knowledge articles;

Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement policies, procedures, and initiatives;

Complying with CCBA IT Asset Management policies, including IMACDs; Assisting with Service Desk and Operations Centre Ticket overflows; and Being responsible for maintaining OS health and security standards on all workstations in line with CCBA Security Standards and Policies.


Skills, Experience & Education


The minimum qualification required is Degree in Computer Science or area similar
5 to 10 years’ experience in IT Enterprise/ Corporate SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and ITIL will be advantage.


The IT Technician provide remote and on-site technical assistance, and business process support for IT systems to users, including but not limited to, resolving hardware and software issues, setting up of computer hardware systems, installation and upgrading software, and troubleshooting IT issues.
